The Warkaris embark on a spiritual journey from their homes to the revered temple of Pandharpur in groups known as Dindi or processions, aiming to arrive on Aashadhi Ekadashi and Kartiki Ekadashi. The pilgrimage includes a sacred dip in the holy river Chandrabhaga, which flows along the banks where Pandharpur is nestled. It is believed that this ritualistic bath in the Chandrabhaga river has the divine power to cleanse all sins and purify the soul of the devotees.
During this auspicious pilgrimage, all devotees are granted the special privilege of touching the feet of the idol of Vithoba, symbolizing a profound spiritual connection and a moment of profound reverence and devotion towards the divine deity. This tradition underscores the profound faith and devotion of the Warkari community towards Lord Vithoba and highlights the significance of this pilgrimage in their spiritual journey.
